Storage Ideas
Hi All,
At the beginning of the year I said I would be cleaning out a drawer at a time. Well it's been ages since I last posted about my progress. Since then I've totally cleaned out my kitchen and my bathroom. Of course I had to clean the kitchen out. Everything had to be moved someplace because after 18 years I finally got a new kitchen! I couldn't be happier, it's everything I dreamed of. Still small and square, but the cupboards reach to the ceiling, the backsplash is shiny and bright and the end result...just beautiful! I'm being very selective about what goes back in as there are many things we had we just don't need or use so they will be donated to charity. We learned to live without for the 7 weeks of construction we endured. It definitely changed the way I think about having "things".
With that being said, I've been purging my scrapbook supplies. What I am not loving anymore or can't find a use for will be taken to a crop for the "Garage Sale" table. If I can't sell it I will put it on the next crop's free table and anything that's left will get donated to charity, with the wok that I had to have and don't use!
While I was cleaning, I was looking for a place to store my stamp sets from Fun Stampers Journey. Since becoming a Journey Coach at the beginning of the year, I have started to collect some new stamp sets with lots of new steel dies. I love the packaging because I can sort everything in a stand up position, which in my mind saves space. I had a small CD rack that was going in the donation box until it hit me, I could use it for stamps and dies. Here's how I'm now using it.
Also showing is the small rod hanging by cup hooks that my Fun Stampers Journey Splashes are hanging on and my Keruig K-Cup drawer holder for all my glitter and embossing powders. My Big Shot fits perfectly on top of it.

Hi All!
A beautiful day here in NE Ohio. Had some rain early this morning. The day started out hot and sticky, but this evening is going to be calm & cool. Looks like we will be blessed with a God kissed sunset!
I've seen a couple tri fold cards and always wanted to make one. I finally got the courage and had at it.
Most of my supplies were from my Fun Stampers Journey stash. The patterned paper, Media Prints, is sadly being discontinued. I love the honeycomb and hearts printed on this piece. I used my Doily metal die, Beach Ball blue cardstock and a Sparkle Heart embellishment. The ribbon was in my stash, the stamp I've had forever. I'm really happy with the way the colors pull it all together. I hope you like it!

Retro Fun!
Hi All,
My husbands sister turned 50 last week. She decided to bless us by coming up to visit the family from her Georgia home. I think she just wanted to come up and have a party! I wanted to do something a little special for her...because she's a special person and well...it"s a special birthday.
Hubby & I went to a "throw back" candy store. Man I tell you, this place has it all! Candies brands that are older than me. Rainbow bubble gum, candy necklaces, cigar gum, wax lips..wow! Trying to figure out what candy was popular 50 years ago wasn't difficult at all. My sis in law may be a few years younger that me, but candy didn't change much back then. The old tried and true brands didn't disappear for years.
Armed with $30 bucks worth of candy, we now had to think of the best way to wrap it. Sure a box, tin or paper bag would do...just not my style of doing. A good friend sent me instructions on a paper purse recently so that's what I'm going with. Here's my take:
I love the Boho feel of the paper. Very retro! The paper and embellishments were left over from a scrapbook kit I bought a few months back. It took about an hour from start to finish. I had a creative time making this.
I think I can put all that candy in here and still carry it!
I hope she gets as big a kick out of this haul as we did.

Under Construction
Hi All,
Seems as if my life has been under construction lately. After 18 years in my house I am getting a new kitchen...Yippee! The project that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks has taken almost seven. Nothing goes smooth during construction. Like getting your much anticipated glass cabinets with no glass doors. Counter tops that should have been measured and delivered in 2 weeks took 6. The best was the decision about the light over the sink. We couldn't decide in the store so we purchased the two we liked the best and asked every family member and friend who came to visit. Naturally it was a split decision! The kitchen is complete now with a modern antique feel, new kitchen items mixed with my family heirlooms. I absolutely love it!
So my dream kitchen is finally done, however, now I start on the blog pages. I found a young lady who will be helping me redesign my blog. She talented an she knows what she is doing! I'm sure it won't take 7 weeks...LOL! Once this is up and running, I'll be posting more creations that I've made in my "down time".
Until then...stay happy, healthy & creative!

It's been too long!
Hi All,
Wow, Wow, WOW! Can't believe a month has blown by and I'm so behind in my blog.
The month of January went by in a blur. Spent part of first week of the new year home sick.
Doctor said it was a sinus infection. I think I figured that out on my own, judging by the number of tissues I was using. No meds because it was viral. 10 days later, my nose was running like a faucet, so back to the doctors. He said he thought I was at the end of it. Well I wasn't. 7 days later I was back at the doctors' office. Now I had another full blown sinus infection, or maybe it was the first one still. But that virus decided to share with my ears, so I had an ear infection and bronchitis.
Nothing that 10 days of pills couldn't cure.
So that's how I spent my last month! Not fun but it could have been worse!
My drawer cleaning is still in progress and I will post some new scrapbook pages this week.
To top that off, I'm excited to start my amazing journey with Fun Stampers Journey. I'll share more later.

Starting My New Fun Stampers Journey
Hi All,
These days just seem to fly by like a hummingbird! Sorry to say that I've not got much accomplished the past few day of cleaning out a drawer but I have made 4 sets of scrapbook pages. Yippee!
Add to that my opening of my Fun Stampers Journey starter kit and I am one happy person.
I will take a couple photos of my starter kit, but for now, please enjoy these pages. I seem to be on a butterfly kick lately. Must have stocked up when they were on sale:)
