WOYWW # 389--I've missed you!

Hi All,

Oh how I've missed you...each and every one of you.  I've missed visiting your blogs, posting comments, seeing what everyone has been up to!  Please stop by Julia's Stamping Ground where you can find out what WOYWW is.  Make sure to say hello to all the creative artists.  Maybe next week you will join us!

As for me, it's been (sing to the tune of  The 12 days of Christmas)....4 scrapping crops, 3 family birthdays, 2 mom's to visit and a brand new dishwasher!  Things have off the hook the last 4 week.
I did get quite a bit done at my crops but don't have any pics to post yet.  My son & lovely daughter in law both celebrated birthdays towards the end of October as did my little sister.  DH and I decided to spend some much needed time with our moms.  We were both feeling a little neglectful of them.

To top off my last few weeks, I finally received my new dishwasher on Friday....cue the angels singing here!   Bought one mid April but it never cleaned a dish. Oh it got them wet, but that was all it did.  It was awful.  Kripes, it didn't even clean coffee from a cup. Every major component was replaced in the thing.  After 12 weeks I mustered the nerve and gave them an ultimatum.  I guess the believed me as they are sending a check. Needless to say, we purchased another brand and it is cleaning those dishes spic & span.

Here's my craft room today. I've unloaded from my crops but that's about all.  There is stuff everywhere. After Thanksgiving I may give it a cleaning!

Hugs to everyone!  I'm looking forward to stopping in to see you all.
Until next week,
Keep Sparkly!
Chris

  1. Happy WOYWW. You have certainly been busy. Glad that you have a working dishwasher now. I couldn't cope without our's now, which is silly as I managed until about 10 years ago! Ali x #31

  2. Hi Chris. Glad you got a dishwasher that works!! I admit I don't use mine so often now I'm on my own - but it really is a fantastically useful item in my kitchen when I just need a clean surface!! Bung stuff in and suddenly, as if by magic, everywhere is tidy!!!
Enjoy all those goodies on your desk.
    Take care. God bless.

  3. It's awful when stuff doesn't work as it should! Not like it's a small appliance either. Glad you got it sorted. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx

  4. You definitely have been busy! Wow!! Glad the new dishwasher is working good. We just replaced a freezer but the new one is loud (which Sears says is the way it's supposed to sound). Hope you have a great week!

  5. Sounds like you've been busy! It's great to spend time with Mum. I can only manage one trip a year but it's for six/seven weeks the last couple of years. I'm thankful I get to spend time with her.

Glad you've got a new dishwasher - I am the dishwasher in our house!

  6. Sounds like you've had a busy time of it. When we refitted our kitchen the dishwasher was the first thing my husband planned, think he was fed up with being the Dishwasher maybe! Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 14

  7. Well, I'm glad you got the dishwasher sorted, quite right too - it sounds like the old one wasn't fit for purpose. The bright green bubble wrap caught my eye! I've only ever seen clear but the green is definitely bright and breezy!!

  8. Busy busy bee! Isn't it grand? Glad you've got a new dishwasher... I had to go without for over a month this year and hated every dish I had to wash by hand. ;) ❤️ Have a great week! ~Heather~ #47

  9. Ah certainly been busy in your neck of the woods Chris, shame about the dishwasher, but good it's sorted. I have to do that with a mobile phone once, it was a real dud.
Happy cleaning... would love someone to do that here too.
    Happy WOYWW! Thanks for sharing,

  18. Hello Chris. You have been on a very busy run with things and yes congrats with getting a dishwasher that works. Oh and your little song at the beginning made me giggle. You left me a question of what I used on the house and Windows it is called snow text comes in a fine tip bottle of a small container you can spread on stuff. I also used my winka Stella clear pen over it to give it a ad of a sparkle on it but trully doesn't really show up on the picture. Thanks for visiting me earlier and so sorry I am getting around so late. Have a wonderful day Hugs ~Anne L#19

  19. A very neat and tidy creative space, Chris - it looks great, really organised. Sorry to hear of your dishwasher woes but glad to hear you've now got a new one. We don't have one - never have had - I always do it by hand and it's not a chore I particularly dislike - there's a great sense of satisfaction getting the kitchen straight, and I quite like the feel of the hot water through my Marigolds!! Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm sorry to be so long acknowledging it - been uber busy for the past week and then crashed because overdid things too much and had to spend a day or two on the recliner watching daytime TV and doing some very untaxing playing on my iPad, so I'm in catch up mode now. So glad you liked my cat card - something a bit different for me but I'm combining art with technology quite a bit at the moment and it seemed the natural thing to do! Even though I found some black wool to mend my cardigan, I still haven't done it... Lol at no calories in cake! I have a theory that cake is mostly air, so how fattening can it be? I even managed to lose another pound this week, despite Friday's cancer group cakeathon...

A very belated indeed happpy WOYWW,

  20. Hello. I am so sorry that I have only just spotted that you left me a comment last week ( I didn't get to join in this time :-( ) Glad you got the dishwasher sorted. we had a problem with a cooker a couple of years ago ended up being replaced three times !!!! They could never say what the problem was. We chose a different model in the end and they sent us a cheque to put an end to the saga. Anne x
