Thanks for taking a peek at my space this week. Take a minute to visit Julia and the rest of the WOYWW group at Julia's Stamping Ground. A very creative bunch indeed!
I've been working on a number of things and actually finishing them!
To the left is a card I'm making for a Can You Cast It challenge. Top left are Christmas tags for a swap. I only have to stamp To/From on the back and they are done. Front right are some buttons I found that I think will go well with my Fun Stampers Journey Anchor Me stamp set and Nautical Adventures papers. I may make a scrapbook page. Not sure yet.
The box in the back is a stash of goodies that are leftovers from previous projects. Rather than get rid of them I'm being creative and making embellishments for future scrapbook pages. Here's a couple things I've put together.
In the middle of the table is a picture of Zoltar (see below) as well as our fortunes from him. We went to Cedar Point a few weekends back which is where we found him. You may remember Zoltar from the movie "Big" when Tom Hanks became a grown up after making a wish to Zoltar. My wish for supple skin, skinny thighs and no facial wrinkles didn't come true....but it was fun trying!

Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to see what everyone else is up to this week.
Until then.....
Be Amazing!

I really like the idea of making embellishments all ready to go for future projects.

I finally found the courage to do this. I was tired of finding little pieces lying around going to waste.

ha ha, so glad I am not the only one who has no idae what they've been doing most days! Swaps and challenges - how lovely! I never seem to get round to them these days, no wonder I never get any happy mail! Happy WOYWW Cindy #27
ReplyDeleteI just started getting into some of the challenges. Summer months are impossibly busy so now that it's slowed I'm trying to do more.

Nikki, thank you for sharing this. I have a good friend who loves ATC cards. I'll share with her and maybe I can make some special embellishments for her cards.
DeleteHave a great week!
Making those embellishments from your leftovers is a great idea! They turned out well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier too.

Thank you RosA. Finally putting my scraps to good use and using my brain a little too!

"Big" was such a good movie! The piano scene was fun. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteSo many interesting projects on your desk! It's a good idea to keep track of your daily activities as a reminder of what you've been up to. I'm not much of a 'journaller' in that respect - I lack discipline and consistency - but I still like the idea! Have a good week and thanks for visiting! zsuzsa #18
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Zsuzsa. If I don't jot down my day I will forget as they are all blurring together lately!
DeleteHave a great week too!
I see you are being creative with your bits and bobs, good for you. Thanks for the comment about Bible use in crafting, BJ#20
ReplyDeleteBit and bobs is a great term for these saved objects! I think your Bible is stunning and can't wait to see more. Just drawing us in to see is spreading the word!

I love that you've put together pieces already - and you're another multi tasker, such a good gift! My wish to Zoltar would pretty much have been the same, and how exciting - perfect scrapbook material!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving putting together all these pieces. If I use them or not that's a different story! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI love your left over special bits - you've made some beautiful embellishments with them.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely week,
Diana #16
Thanks Diana. I need to get busy using them on a scrapbook page. Maybe I should make them smaller to use on cards.
DeleteEnjoy your week.
great looking desk and I love those tags! I haven't been on the computer much recently and I am loving looking at all the stuff people are making! Have a great week. Vickie #45
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Vickie...don't spend much time on the computer. If I looked at every Facebook post from my family...well lets just say I would have to quit my day job!
DeleteThanks for stopping.
Oh yes, I remember 'Zoltar' from that movie... now having your wishes come true would be awesome! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier - I'm late with my woyww-visits, it's already Saturday - so have a great weekend! Marit #8
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping Marit! I'm so far behind I have to take a cab back!
DeleteHave a super weekend.
Wow! I really like all the creative embellishments you've designed using your leftovers box. Happy belated WOYWW!
